Obsession in Rumba

I love Rumba…The flirtatious interaction, emotion and the soft rhythm between the partners entitled the Rumba as "Dance of Love." I would say that Rumba is the smooth, sophisticated cousin of salsa and cha cha….

Rumba, the most romantic dance in Latin. It is a slow, sensuous, romantic Latin dance... Rumba spotlights the lady with her smooth rhythmic body action and sexuality. The slow romantic Rumba beat, the rhythmic body and the hip action….


Yet, I still hv LONG way to go… T_T sob sob…

Learning to count beat correctly is the first big challenge for beginners especially for “ME”. Students are seldom able to dance the Rumba well unless they are able to count the beat correctly.
The step timing is counted at 2,3,4-1, 2,3,4-1

Erhemm….

Firstly,

I always keeps dancing on the wrong beat of the music.
Since the Rumba music is slow, i hv to train myself to count the beat in order to dance in conformance to the tempo.

Secondly,

Sometimes it seems like I am *Rushing* onto the beat and moving onto each footwork placement abruptly …damn T_T

Third,

And many more other imperfection…many other mistakes which are still remain unknown in *X file*…..really need some **enlightment**


Few days ago,I hv just finished learning my very first Rumba routine dance in class. Yet, I hv no motivation in Latin class lately. There are 7 ladies in class ( including me ). Only 2 guys in class…Arggghhh!!!!!! Guys are not enuf in class!!! Some more, the dance studio really LACKS of activities for students to perform what they hv learnt…sien…and the most important thing is “I Have No Dance Partner Yet!” double sien ….

I desperately need a dance partner!!! And those ppl who belittle me, watch out! I will be back….(* I hope so…Kelly whispered*)
